A shout out to the new head coach of men’s basketball at Rutgers…Mike Rice. The last Rice (Ray), turned out pretty well on the banks, here’s hoping you do too. |

I like the addition for RU. We haven’t had a guy with this much passion in a while. Really can’t go anywhere but up from here anyhow. |

With all due respect to the Scarlet Knights, I think it is time they relegated themselves to the A10. Maybe a straight swap for Xavier would be good for both conferences. The Fred Hill era had promise (Echenique, Rosario, and my man, N’Daiye), but that has fallen apart quickly. Rutgers has become the Northwestern of the Big East. |

Oh contrare – Big 10 here we come (I hope). |

From reading some of the early top 25 reports, it seems that the Big East might be down a bit next year. Too bad Rutgers couldn’t hold on to its players – they could have cracked the top ten in the Big East. As for the Big 10, one question: how can they continue to call themselves the Big 10 when they have 11 teams? The same could be said for the A10. What gives? Can’t they count? |

Sadly, a lack of foresight. But I think they’re stuck – “Big Ten” carries a lot of weight; “Big 14” not so much. |

I don’t put much magic into pure numbers and think the Big 14 would be fine, in time. There’s nothing magical about the number 10 (or the number 64… : http://www.collegefantasyhoopsinsider.com/artic…. Was it that hard for the Big Eight to become the Big 12? Do these numbers mean anything? |

Well if they expand to 96 – Rutgers may actually make it. Let’s do it!! |
